The 2010 Community Foundation Global Status Report is the sixth in a series of reports on the development of community foundations around the world, and the first web-based version of this signature report. It was commissioned and funded by Worldwide Initiatives for Grantmaker Support (WINGS).

Community Foundation Leipzig
German Chancellor Angela Merkel awards the Community Foundation Leipzig with the 'Förderpreis Aktive Bürgerschaft 2009' for its educational programmes, specifically for using music as a vehicle for education.
We found that support to community foundations was highly available in North America but much less so in Africa.
West Bengal Community Foundation
This new community foundation has been running 13 educational centres where the children of the underprivileged and drop-outs from local schools are receiving the chance to have a free education. WBCF's role in this local initiative reflects the growing trust of the community foundation concept in India by local communities.
